Hire Distant places experienced remote sales development representatives (SDRs) with businesses in the US, UK and Europe. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how our SMS messaging works.

Information we collect

We collect only what you give us through our forms:

If you are hiring: your name, business name, business email, phone number, website, and your answers about your hiring needs.
If you are applying for a role: your name, country, email, mobile number, optional LinkedIn profile, your answers about your experience and availability, and the link to any video introduction you choose to send.
Automatically: the page you submitted from, your browser user agent, and your IP address, used for security and to prevent spam.

How we use it

To contact you about your enquiry or application.
To arrange and confirm calls and interviews.
For candidates, to match you with suitable roles and, with your knowledge, to introduce you to a hiring business.
To improve our service and keep records of consent.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your mobile number or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing.

SMS messaging terms

Consent. We only send you SMS if you ticked the box giving consent on one of our forms. Consent is not a condition of any purchase or of being considered for a role.

What we send. Messages about your enquiry, application, and scheduled calls or interviews. For example: "Hi {name}, it's the team at Hire Distant. Your application just landed. Reply YES so we know we have the right number." and "Your Hire Distant call is in one hour. Laptop plus somewhere quiet is all you need."

Frequency. Message frequency varies depending on your enquiry. Message and data rates may apply.

Opting out. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving SMS from us. Reply HELP for help, or email us at the address below.

Carriers. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and application records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations, and no longer than necessary. Candidate records are kept so we can consider you for future roles; you can ask us to delete them at any time.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for marketing. Email us and we will action it. If you are in the UK or EU and are unhappy with our response, you can complain to your data protection authority; in the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office.

Cookies and advertising

Our pages may use the Meta (Facebook) pixel to measure the performance of our advertising. This tells us that a page was viewed or a form was submitted; it is not used to collect the content of your form.

Terms of use

Nothing on this website is a guarantee of a specific business result or of employment. Results described are those of specific clients and depend on your own offer, leads and follow-up. Placement services are provided under a separate written agreement, which sets out fees, the replacement guarantee and its conditions.
